school readings (grades seven to twelve), community library readings (students and/or general public)
A normal reading lasts one hour and includes an author talk and questions from the audience. As I have wide experience in teaching, I am able to tailor my presentation to the goals of the teacher or teacher-librarian. The author talk reveals the sources of ideas and how I develop them into a story. I will usually read from one or more of my books.
Please note that I do not do author talks with school assemblies or other large groups.
The fee for a one-hour reading is $300. Additional expenses: round-trip travel ($.45/Km). HST applies to both. Further enquiries: click here.
